ODYSSEY - FIRST SOLO EXHIBITION
W1CURATES - OXFORD STREET - LONDON
I had the immense privilege of holding my first solo exhibition at the renowned W1Curates in London. Located on Oxford Street in central London, with a facade adorned with giant screens, W1Curates features a 360-degree immersive room of over 350 square meters with screens more than 3 meters high. My exhibition "Odyssey" which opened on June 6th and runs until June 30th, fulfilled all its promises by showcasing my work in the most grandiose manner possible to an audience of captivated art enthusiasts.

THE CREATIVE PROCESS
When W1Curates asked me to organize my first solo exhibition in London, I was obviously very excited, but at the same time stressed to design something without having seen the place. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to go to London before the exhibition. I then began to model the exhibition venue in 3D using the plans I had received. However, I wanted to have a real-time feedback of the room, of the reflections of the mirrors on the columns, in order to be able to manage my image transitions and my cuts without spending long rendering times.

I then called on a very good friend who works a lot in Unreal. He took hold of my 3D scene and created an .exe for me so that I could update my scene by simply uploading new videos/screen textures. I could now completely walk around the room and check what it looked like from all angles. So I worked by chapter with a timecode, in order to fine-tune each detail of the exhibition. Once the show was completely created, I went back into Cinema4D and into Octane, in order to produce better quality renderings for the promotion of the show.

THE ARTWORKS SELECTION
The selection of my works came about quite naturally. For a first exhibition, my aim was simply to introduce myself and showcase my work to those unfamiliar with it. I revisited my short films and 3D experiments from the past 5 or 6 years, looking for the connections that linked certain pieces together. I wanted the exhibition to maintain a coherent thread throughout. Sometimes, simple associations of shapes or colors allowed me to bring together very different works within the same display.
