VERTIGO
WHEN THE SURFACE SHIFTS
The film explores the moment where perception begins to shift. Rather than depicting real places, it creates impossible states of nature, environments that feel like thresholds between the familiar and the unknown. Each image was treated as a fragment of an inner world, where reality starts to lose its stability and something deeper begins to appear.

COLLIDING NATURES
The visual research was built around the collision of biomes that could never naturally coexist. Tropical coves, white mineral cliffs, arid slopes, crystalline waters, pale rock formations and blooming vegetation were merged into single environments. The challenge was to make these impossible combinations feel coherent, as if they belonged to the same altered reality.

PLAUSIBLE SPECTACLE
The images had to remain spectacular, but never purely fantastical. I pushed the realism of light, texture, water, rock and vegetation to make each frame feel tangible and photographic, while allowing the overall structure to become uncanny. That balance between credibility and distortion became one of the central tensions of the film.

IMPOSSIBLE GRAVITY
A major part of the exploration focused on extreme viewpoints. I wanted the viewer to feel placed at the edge of something physically impossible, looking down into spaces that twist, drop and spiral beyond normal spatial logic. The camera angles were designed to create a sense of height, vertigo and disorientation without breaking the realism of the image.

THE UNEASE OF BEAUTY
The film is built on a strange contradiction: everything is luminous, colorful and almost paradisiacal, yet something feels wrong. Distances collapse, proportions shift and natural forms behave in ways they should not. I was interested in that precise point where beauty becomes slightly disturbing, where wonder and discomfort start to coexist.

A VOICE BENEATH THE IMAGE
The soundtrack and voice over were conceived as a mystical layer running beneath the images. Rather than explaining what is shown, they create the feeling of a passage, as if the viewer were being drawn through the surface of reality. The music remains atmospheric and restrained, allowing the narration to carry the film toward something more internal, spiritual and unresolved.
