FLUX | DIRECTOR'S CUT
ABOUT IT
I had the opportunity to work in close collaboration with the motion-design agency Post Office Studios in Mumbai (India) to imagine a teaser for a big event in India called Asian Paints ColourNext19. This famous exhibition is predicting and promoting the luxury trends of the coming years. I have been commissioned amongst other creatives to shape and realise the vision for one of the required films. I co-created this full 3D piece with Post-Office's creative team, sharing ideas with them and with the final client to reach this common vision. The film was originally a 16/9 - 30sec edit. But I felt it deserved a bit more frames and scenes to fill in the gaps, so i made my own cut.

The project was quite ambitious for the amount of time available - only 5 weeks from start to finish. It was also graphically challenging and technically complexe, not the least because of the number of simulations (metal, cloth, sands, …). I paid extra attention to the texturing of objects so that we could easily render very close shots as well as super large ones. Our main idea was to have the fabrics and the different materials coming to life and collapsing together to create a kind of weird desert-themed floating room. I also tried to keep the idea of lightness throughout the whole film by bringing an overall aerial feel to all scenes. We are super happy to see how it turned out. I hope you guys will like it too !
